Interior Detail FAQs
If you are looking into using Recreation Auto Spa for a mobile detail and would like to get more information on interior detailing, this FAQ page was created to answer some of the more common questions I recieve. Q. What does a complete full deep clean interior detail include?
95% of really dirty cars or trucks needing interior detailing require my full deep clean interior detail.
This includes complete vacuuming, and thorough scrubbing of all plastics, leather, vinyl, including the door trim panels, dashboard, center consoles, steering column, all seats and other trim panels throughout the vehicle.
Once vacuumed and scrubbed the carpets are sprayed with an enzyme cleaner to help lift and remove stains and neutralize most odors. If you require further specialized odor removal I would add on my odor removal service.
All carpeting and cloth seats are shampooed and extracted to pull out stains and dirt.
A commercial grade steamer is used to loosen and lift tough dirt and grime from all plastics that scrubbing alone doesn't remove.
Head liner is carefully spot cleaned as rough scrubbing of the headliner can cause damage and sagging of the glued on fabric.
Special air tools are used to remove hard to get dust and dirt and create that like new appearance.
All leather and trim is conditioned and protected once thoroughly cleaned.
Q. Do you remove seats?
For liability reasons I do not remove any seats from your vehicle.
There are sensitive electronics not only for seat functions but safety that can be damaged or need to be reset by the dealer if unplugged.
Q. Do you clean the trunk too?
Yes. The trunk must be cleared out and not filled to the brim with stuff needing to be removed so I can properly clean it. Trunk vaccuming and cleaning is standard in both my interior packages.
Q. Can you remove all the stains?
While most stains can be removed, this depends on a couple of factors. The quicker you try to remove a stain the better odds you have at complete removal. In most cases if a stain is permanently set I can at least greatly reduce its appearance.
Q. My car is REALLLLLY BAD can you still clean it?
These are the other 5% of cases my full deep clean interior detail isn't enough to allow complete cleaning, but I can still make your vehicle look like new!

Q. Will my interior be wet?
Usually by the time the detail is complete the interior is nearly if not completely dry especially in the warmer months.
During winter this can change a bit, I usually recommend running the car with the heater on and windows just cracked to speed up seat drying if needed.
If you feel any moisture I recommend leaving the windows cracked until the interior is completely dried out.
Q. I only need one seat shampooed but the rest of my car or truck falls into your mini detail, do I still need to get the full deep clean interior?
No problem. Seats and carpets can be added individually onto my mini detail at $25 per.
Q. Will my interior be shiny or greasy?
Many people easily mistake shiny for clean, but think back to when you bought or if you have seen a car brand new was it shiny inside? Probably not.
Most interiors have a clean matte finish naturally. The conditioners I use on your seats and trim will have a slight sheen that will level out over time. If you prefer a high shine or matte finished look let me know and I can leave it the way you like no problem. Absolutley no greasy to the touch feeling will be left in your interior.
Q. My seats are vegan leather can you still clean them?
Absolutely! Lots of misinformation out there but most "leather" seats in modern cars and trucks are not true leather but instead a clear coated synthetic fabric instead. I can clean both no problem.
